Over the years, I have been incredibly fortunate to immerse myself in the study of Functional Medicine and guide hundreds of individuals back to true, sustainable health. Seeing a patient regain their vitality after years of feeling unheard is the greatest privilege of my career.
I want to share an exciting update with you regarding how I practice. I have officially retired from my roles at FSU Health and Integrative Healthcare to establish an independent micro-practice right here in Monticello, Florida—just a short half-hour drive east of Tallahassee. You can find my new clinical space quietly tucked away in the heart of downtown Monticello.
To make this solo venture sustainable and ensure my time is dedicated 100% to your clinical care, I have reimagined the administrative side of my practice. I operate entirely without a front-desk staff. By intentionally keeping this practice small and using a secure, fully automated online platform called Optimantra, I have handed the administrative controls directly to you.

- Communication is direct. When you reach out via your secure Electronic Health Record (EHR) email, you are reaching me—not an automated phone tree or an intermediary.

What We Excel At
We coordinate specialized root-cause testing through Rupa Health and Genova Diagnostics to map gut health, advanced hormone pathways, and cellular nutrient status.
We readily order standard blood panels, X-rays, and ultrasounds. Depending on your specific health insurance policy, these routine diagnostics are typically covered normally as long as the processing laboratory or imaging facility is in your network.
We put together highly personalized, comprehensive treatment plans and handouts. This includes direct prescriptions for bio-identical hormone therapies and custom compounds sent directly to both local specialized pharmacies and external compounding facilities.
For targeted structural issues, localized tissue instability, and chronic joint pain, we offer specialized Prolotherapy injections right in our clinical space to help stimulate your body’s natural healing response.
What We Do Not Provide
This practice is highly specialized for adolescents and adults. We do not provide clinical consulting, diagnostics, or therapies for children under the age of 12.
We are not a full-service primary care facility and are not equipped for physical clinical interventions. We do not perform pelvic exams, freeze warts, lance boils, or manage acute medical emergencies.
While we specialize deeply in highly customized bio-identical hormone optimization, we do not insert, manage, or offer BioTe pellets.
We do not bill insurance or Medicare plans directly, nor do we participate in network contracts. All practice fees must be submitted electronically. We are happy to furnish standard expense documentation upon request for you to submit to your HSA, FSA, or Healthshare plan.

This specialized service is not an automatic add-on. Because structural joint conditions require precise clinical screening, Elizabeth must personally evaluate and approve this service before any procedure is scheduled. This ensures that targeted prolotherapy is a safe, medically appropriate match for your specific joint issue and falls directly within her area of clinical expertise.
Fee Structure Notice
Please note that if prolotherapy is approved and administered, the procedural injection fees are calculated and billed in addition to the standard medical visit fee.
Elizabeth Markovich Functional Medicine does not directly bill insurance or Medicare plans, nor do we participate in network contracts. All practice fees are due electronically at the time of your online booking.
We are fully equipped to provide you with standard, documented expense coding upon request. You can submit this directly to your Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), or Healthshare type plan to seek eligible out-of-pocket reimbursements.
